It's been a little while since the last entry, but it's a whirlwind vacation. We are seeing friends and family, and spending great quality time on our own. To catch you up on the latest:
| Aunt Judy and Uncle Dick - Santa Rosa Beach, FL - first stop in Florida, before Tampa. |
After Tampa and Busch Gardens, we adventured to Animal Kingdom, Epcot Center, and Magic Kingdom in Orlando. We then enjoyed the beach in Daytona for a day, freshly devoid of the bikers from Bike Week. And more recently spent 2 days in Savannah before departing for lovely Fayetteville, NC just before St. Patty's Day.
| Happy St. Patty's Day - on I-95N in South Carolina. |
Some highlights from our trip so far:
| Animal Kingdom - Tree of Life |
Animal Kingdom was fun. Neither of us had been there but we took advantage of our military discounted 4-day park hopper and went there the evening we arrived in Orlando. I especially enjoyed a roller coaster up Mt. Everest. Dinner that night was at the Rain Forest Cafe!
Epcot Center was a truly ambitious experience. In one and a half days, we either ate, drank, or purchased a souvenir from each of the 11 "countries".
| Mexico - margaritas and Nachos! |
| Peach tart and some other cream filled pastry in Norway. |
| Ice Wine from Canada |
| Bagette with brie and chocolate eclair with coffee in France. |
Here, HusBand observed how the French were true to character. ;)
| Falafel wrap in Morocco. So YUMMY! |
| Guiness and Cider on draught in the UK. |
Japan - flower hair thingy and Sake.
| Green tea-Sake and melon-vodka drinks in China. Very Chinese, right? |
| Italy - awesome Ducati t-shirt for Kris. |
| Funnel cake from America! It was the only attractive thing we could find there. |
| The grand finale - dinner in Germany! |
This dinner - amazing. We each had a beer and a couple trips to the buffet. Totally stuffed walking out of there.
Now we are enjoying time with HusBand's Mom and her husband in Charlottesville, VA. Their home is on the side of a mountain - so beautiful! So many more pictures to follow in future postings.
